Admisssion Procedure

Registration

  1. Pupils are ordinarily admitted only in the beginning of the new academic session subject to vacancies in any class.
  2. Admission to Nursery: A child must have completed three and  should not be above four and four years on 1st April of the current year.
  3. On the date/s fixed by the Principal, registration forms will be made available online on the school website wwwstthomas.co.in on payment forwards registration fee via Online Transfer or NEFT. The hard copy of the form will be submitted at the school counter on the date/s mentioned. On submission, the dates of interaction will be intimated on the unter foil. At the time of submission two recent passport size photographs and the birth certificate from the registrar of births in originals and a photocopy of the same or an affidavit declaring the date of birth should be produced. List of selected candidates on merit basis for admission will be announced thereafter.
  4. Admission to Class 9 and below:Depending upon vacancies ‘Qualifying Examination will be conducted and admission of the selected candidates (on merit basis) will be done. Admission into these classes will be complete on producing Transfer Certificate from the last school attended by the scholar .Transfer Certificate of pupils from outside Uttar Pradesh must be countersigned by the District Education Officer/Inspector of the Schools.
  5. The parent will fill the admission form and he/she will be responsible for the conduct and fees of the pupil.
  6. The Principal reserves the right to refuse any application for admission without having to assign reasons for such refusal.
  7. In case of readmission after withdrawal, admission fee will be levied again.

Withdrawal

  1. If the parents want to withdraw their child of their own accord and wish to possess the Transfer Certificate of the child, they will have to give a written application for the same paying Rs. 100/- (additional Rs. 200/- for obtaining counter sign from the Council) and obtain the TC after two days if simple and after three weeks if countersigned or on later given date.
  2. All requests for a transfer certificate must be sent in writing duly signed and dated by the parent/guardian one month in advance. No transfer certificate shall be issued until all dues to the school have been paid in full. Duplicate transfer certificate will not be issued.
  3. One dear calendar month’s notice in writing or a month’s fees in lieu of such notice must be given before a student can be with drawn.
  4. If a student is absent for 10 consecutive days without the prior permission or the application of leave for a genuine reason, the name of the student will be struck off the roll. If the parents want to continue the education thereafter they will have to re-admit the child with all the feels as though it is fresh admission.
  5. A student may be suspended or even dismissed from the school on account of misconduct, insubordination to the school authorities, malpractice during the exams or for any such grave reason with prior warning, or even without, as per discretion of the Head of the Institution.
  6. A student who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
